JARRED ROELS
PhD student
Jarred started his PhD in October 2022 after graduating with a first class MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Southampton. Jarred is studying the structure and function of the flavivirus capsid protein in viral infection and disease.
DR LIZ MORRIS
Assistant Professor
Liz joined Durham University's Biosciences Department as an Assistant Professor in Biochemistry in March 2022. Prior to this, Liz completed her undergraduate and Master's degrees at Cambridge University in Natural Sciences (Chemistry), a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and post-doctoral positions at the University of Edinburgh and the Francis Crick Institute, London.
ROSELLA PINCKNEY
MSci student
Rosella is doing her Master's project jointly in Liz's lab and Professor Patrick Steel's lab in the Chemistry Department. Rosella is using small molecules to inhibit the flavivirus helicase.
